    Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:

    • Every Student applicant requires a Co-signer.
    • An online application is required for each tenant and his or her cosigner, if applicable.
    • A credit screening & background check fee of $40.00 is required for ALL tenant/cosigner pairs.
    • Please cross-reference all prospective tenants on your application.
    • Cosigners must cross-reference the name of the prospective tenant and the address on the application.
    • Please include your 2nd and 3rd choice properties on your application.
    • NO ANIMALS- pets not allowed at the properties. Violations will result in a notice to perform covenants or quit.
    • One person per bedroom or less is allowed at all Winter/9-Month Rentals.
    • ONLY ONE APPLICATION PER PERSON, you do NOT need to fill out multiple applications.
    • Once approved, the full security deposit (120% of the rent) and a $75 Lease Fee must be paid within 72 hours by cashier's check/money order, or the next qualified applicant may acquire the property.
    • While we try to accommodate all potential tenants, filling out an application does not guarantee you the property. Approval is based on qualifications and final approval by homeowner.
    • Move-in dates start around mid-September and are sometimes flexible.
    • Move-In/Move-Out dates are never on a Sunday.
    • Water, trash, and sewage services are paid by the landlord (if excessively used additional charges may apply).
    • Gas and electric service is estimated at $50 per bedroom and is an additional charge, not included in the monthly rent. If gas and electric service exceeds the amount of $50 per bedroom, you will be notified of the additional monthly charges.
    • Cable and internet setup are included in the monthly utilities charge. Please do not set up any utilities under tenants' names. No dish installation is allowed.
    • Utility Charges: It is estimated that the utility charges for a property will be approximately $50 per bedroom plus $170 for cable and internet for the home. The tenant(s) is to pay any and all utility charges for the term of their lease. If charges exceed the estimated $50 per bedroom, at the end of the lease term, any and all outstanding underpayments for utility charges will be charged to the tenant(s), and deducted from their security deposit. Overpayments will be credited back to the tenant and be added to their security deposit refund.
      Burr White reserves the right to have tenants pay any large utility underpayments, during their lease term, if charges start to accumulate over $250.00 or more, above the estimated monthly amounts.
